Faces of Strength
These are some of the amazing women I worked with at Gahaya Links in Rwanda. They started out weaving baskets but have now been trained to make fantastic jewelry and handbags. The more skills they learn the more opportunities they have to gain work and money to feed themselves and their families. These are not the faces of vulnerable women, they have been given the choice to empower their lives and choose a different future and to provide their children with educated. We teach skills and give work to those who do not normally have access to economic freedom... now they have a choice. We don't want to sell products you will buy only because you are helping someone in need, we want you to buy something you love that is beautiful and crafted with care and dedication to learning the skills that will keep orders coming year after year. Lets start building a solid base from which to grow. Take a look at our website, find something you love and know that the person who made it was paid fairly and has been given a chance to change her life.
